Congratulations Card featuring Stampin’ Up! Products

WOW! It’s hard to believe our Occasions Catalogue has finished for the year.  That means we’re into April of 2016!!!

Where has the first quarter of the year gone?

Ok, this month is pretty special for my family, my eldest daughter is about to get married, so we’re all pretty bloody excited here.  To start our fantastic month off, here’s my first card for the month.  This one might even have a video tacked on to the end of it, if I can pull my finger out and get it done.

This would be yet another Make It Basic card – because it is sooooo basic!  It’s a lovely little card which would be suitable for so many different occasions, which is why I have tagged it to everything!! LOL

The paper is from the 2015 Birthday Bash DSP but you could use just about any birthday DSP you like.  I used this because of the flecks of gold through the paper. 😉

Three balloons were punched from Tangerine Tango, Pacific Point, and Watermelon Wonder paper. Then I stamped them with the bubble images from Balloon Celebration to give them some definition, in the same colours so they have a tone on tone effect.

I layered the DSP onto the Whisper White thick cardstock, after rounding the edges of the DSP.  I then trimmed a piece of Watermelon Wonder cardstock to 4″ x 1.1/4″ and a piece of layering weight whisper white to 4″ x 1″ and glued these two pieces together.  I stamped Congratulations, from the Sky is the Limit (retired) stamp set, in Tangerine Tango.  I fixed this cross banner to the card with dimensionals, then chose where I wanted to place the balloons and fixed them to the card with dimensionals.

I then scattered clear sequins across the card then stuck them where they landed with some tombow mono.  I added a few rhinestones between the balloons and sequins for some extra bling!

I hope you love this card as much as I do!

Happy April!!!
Karen 🙂
