Birthday Banners! Stampin’ Up!

This is a fun Masculine Card for the week.

I used scraps to create this masculine birthday card.

Pool Party, Wisteria Wonder, and Tangerine Tango flag the front of this card. Varying lengths of 1 1/4″ polka dotted paper were flagged at one end, and affixed to the side of a Whisper White Thick base card.  Some with snail and some with dimensionals.  I used a Basic Black Stampin’ Write marker to faux stitch along one side, before wrapping a strip of satin ribbon around the banner ends.

Because this is a flip fold card, I had to create a small slice in the folded top to thread the ribbon through.  I then attached the ribbon to the centre banner, with glue dots.  The large heart was made using the heart punch, and the smaller hearts were punched from the Itty Bitty Accents punch pack heart.

I went through all of my stamp sets to find as many happy birthday’s as I could that were small enough to fit on a 3/4″ banner.  I stamped them first, then trimmed the cardstock to 3/4″ high and 2 1/2″ or 2 3/4″ long and flagged the ends using the Banner Punch. (The larger flags I created using a pair of scissors.)

I fixed the hearts on the ribbon with glue dots, and then poked the flags under each heart, with a glue dot on the hidden end of the flag. Then topped each heart with a rhinestone.

Hope you like this card.
