Engagement Card

Jess-Alex CongratsMy niece became engaged on the weekend, so it called for an elegant card for her and her fiance. (Congrats Jess & Alex!)

The base card is Whisper White, with another Whisper White layer that was trimmed 1/4 inch all around, and mounted on dimensionals, after being run through the big shot to emboss it with a quilted look.  Two inches were left unembossed at the bottom, except for a line to delineate the embossing finish.

The quilted look was embellished with dozens of mini pearls and mini rhinestones for just that amount of elegance.

A white grosgrain ribbon was attached along the bottom embossed line, and then another shorter piece of grosgrain was tied into a bow and threaded through a rectangular rhinestone buckle and affixed with glue dots.

I used the Modern Label Punch and the Word Window Punch from Stampin’ Up! to affix the greeting, which was from the Something to Say stamp set.  The greeting was stamped with Encore silver ink.

The Engagement party was great!  Everyone had a ball and the happy couple were surrounded by love from family and friends.  Can’t wait for the wedding, now!!!
