Today I used the Love and Affection stamp set to create a lovely watercolour background. I stamped all of the smaller images across the paper in Smoky Slate, and allowed it to dry really well. Then using a water brush, and the top of the ink pad as a palette, I painted the images, using less water to colour the centre of each flower, and the veins on the leaves, than the out edges of the images.
Using the Encore Silver Ink Pad I stamped the greeting, from the Suite Sayings stamp set, on some vellum and heat set it.
I cut a strip of Peekaboo Peach and mounted it with dimensionals, onto the decorated layer. Then wrapped the vellum around both layers and glued it to the back of the whisper white layer.
I then mounted this onto a layer of Flirty Flamingo with snail runner, before putting dimensionals onto the back of the layer and mounting it onto a thick Whisper White cardstock base.
This was all done with normal Whisper White cardstock for the painted layer, I was lucky it didn’t ‘pill’, but next time I think I’ll try it with watercolour paper to see if it looks any different.
I hope you like today’s card.
