I really needed to add that!
I have long been a fan of Jennifer McGuire – way before YouTube – in hard copy scrapbooking magazines. Discovering her on YouTube has been an added bonus!
Today’s two cards were altered versions of Jennifer’s fantastic Vellum Card Tutorial, but since I didn’t have a thick enough vellum on hand, I used window sheets.
I too-ed and fro-ed about which ‘floral’ stamp set to use for these cards. I love the Flower Patch stamp set, and was going to use that, but then realised I still had a huge pack of Love & Affection paper that could be put to use, with the matching stamp set.
Without further ado…
I probably went a little overboard with the decorating on the Blue version, but it looked a little bland when the Love & Affection DSP was placed on the card blank, having only a small amount of floral work done on the Whisper White cardstock.
The Yellow version was finished using some retired DSP – Cherry on Top. It’s a lovely, bright and simple card similar to Jennifer’s. I really liked the window sheet as a replacement to the vellum. The vellum would have muted the background, but the window sheet displays the DSP to it’s full beauty.
I really hope you like this variant on Jennifer’s card.
