Gorgeous colour which goes really well with Daffodil Delight and So Saffron as you can see here with the gorgeous Petite Petals punch being used again.
The two stamp sets used for today’s card, being Crazy About You and Gorgeous Grunge.
Despite the cut being on the diagonal, this card, once stamped with the Gorgeous Grunge stamp reminded me of a barn door, so the petite petals and the mini flower punch (from the Itty Bitty Accents) demanded to be used to give a floral ‘creeper’ look cascading down the doorway.
The “leaves” were punched from Cucumber Crush cardstock, using the Petite Petals punch and then cut into petals of one’s and two’s to place behind the blossoms.
The mat behind the ‘door’, is from Dapper Denim cardstock.
Whisper White Heavy Cardstock – 8 1/4″ x 5 3/4″ scored at 4 1/8″
– 21cm x 14.5cm scored at 10.5cm
Dapper Denim – 3 7/8″ x 5 1/2″ or 9.5cm x 13.5cm
Whisper White Cardstock – 3 5/8″ x 5 1/4″ or 8.5cm x 12.5cm
Stick the Dapper Denim cardstock to the smaller Whisper White layer, then cut on the diagonal on your paper trimmer. Personal preference to the angle. 😉
Cut off a 1/2″ or 1.3cm off each 1/2 from the straight ends, this will create an inch (5cm) gap in the centre when you stick the cardstock into place.
For now, just lay the cardstock layer in place, allowing for a 1/4″ or 1/2cm all around the edges to gauge where you will stamp your sentiment. Then stamp it.
Using dimensionals, stick the two layer pieces into place, and then ‘scatter’ the flowers all around one side of the sentiment. Punch out the green cardstock and slice each flower into three pieces. Two double leaves and one single leaf. Scatter them among the flowers using glue dots to attach them.
Pop a rhinestone into the centre of each flower and you’re done!
