You’ve probably all heard of the saying “Netflix & Chill”, well, this was my version.
I spent a couple of hours in my craft room on Saturday night, using up old cardstock I had laying around, by making two dozen cards for my Church. I had Falling Skies playing on my computer, through Netflix and I chilled out while making the cards. 😀
The cardstock I used, Very Vanilla, was new but the patterned paper was all old stock that is now retired. I chose two very simple layouts for the cards, added some ribbon and used some retired stamp sets and Viola! 24 cards that I can give to my Church – with varying sentiments.
These are two of the designs. And – with the leftover ‘scraps’ I made this card:
I’m really sorry to see both the Mosaic Madness stamp set and the hexagon punch have been discontinued. I think they made lovely cards and their uses were endless.
I still have heaps of leftover paper that I’m sure I can make more cards from. I actually like this design above, and could make it more ‘vintage’ by sponging the smaller hexagons as well as the frame and outer card.
Hope you liked today’s cards. Keep an eye out on my YouTube channel – DoLally Crafts for a tutorial on making these cards in bulk.
