Another bright and happy card to end the week on. This triptych cards done in Melon Mambo and Whisper White for a nice clean look. I managed to get my embossing folders back from my mothers place earlier this week, so used the Perfect Polka Dots embossing folder to give some lovely delicate texture to the whisper white mat.
I stamped a trio of fine line pansies from the Flower Shop stamp set, and then cut 1″ squares out of them from various angles. I matted these on some Melon Mambo 1.1/4″ squares so there was a small border around each square. I mounted these onto the dotted whisper white with dimensionals, and then mounted the dotted panel onto some Melon Mambo with a 1/8″ border all around the panel. I wrapped some white grosgrain ribbon around this panel just below half way down, and tied a bow with an extra, small piece of ribbon. A faux – bow, if you will.
This whole panel was then fixed to the base card with dimensionals.
Happy birthday was stamped onto a scrap of whisper white that I had trimmed to fit into the banner punch, and I slipped it into the banner punch sideways, so that only one side of the banner would punch – the flagged end. I then trimmed the other end with paper snips, before mounting it onto another small panel of Melon Mambo. I then trimmed around the whole white flagged banner with paper snips to allow for a small border of the Melon Mambo to appear and mounted this on the lower third of the card front.
I love the clean and simple look to the card, and hope you do as well.
